Sutton Point is a landmark site located in the centre of the London Borough of Sutton. It’s a mixed-use regeneration scheme, providing 332 residential units, a hotel, office space, health and fitness suite and retail space.
This project consists of three new blocks rising up to 24-storeys above a podium deck level. Parking is provided in a basement which covers the full footprint of the buildings. Constraints not only included being located on an island site with both a one way system and Sutton Train Station bounding it, but also the requirement to accommodate a future Croydon Tramlink station. When built this station will sit over the podium slab. Tullys design approach achieved a pad foundation solution as an alternative to the original piled solution, saving approximately £500,000 from the build cost.
